So as to carry forward and inherit the incredible Chinese traditional culture, stimulate students’ enthusiasm in learning the studies of Chinese ancient civilization and exhibit the fruitful achievements of the ‘Classics Reading’ campaign implemented by Anqing Foreign Language School, on the afternoon of 22nd March, the Chinese Teaching and Research Group of the Junior High Department in the east campus carried out the Sinology Knowledge Contest in Grade 8.
For this competition, each class recommended six players. The content of this grand event centered on the school-based teaching materials ‘Sinology Reader’. Also, the competition included the common sense of Chinese studies in addition to the ancient poems from the Chinese textbooks. During the match, students answered the papers calmly, applied the knowledge that they learned and won great results with perfect answer sheets. After the teachers’ careful grading, several winners from the first, second and third prize categories were selected.
On the whole, not only did this fabulous event enrich students’ daily school life, but also tremendously motivated their interest in accumulating the knowledge of Chinese.
